Anyone have Windows Defender slowing down computer lately? Had to turn off realtime protection. I see 4.18.1806.18062-0 was installed on June 27th and it makes sense that I have that slow down problem since then.
I feel Windows 8 was written for tablets and phones; when used on a PC not only does Windows 8 slow down my computer but I have to re-boot it multiple times every day (mostly when switching from one program to another). I strongly believe that Windows 8 was written with phones and the Surface in mind and compatibility with PCs was an afterthought. Hi Robert – I have Lenovo G710 with i7 and 16GB Ram (as this is maximum for my system). It came with windows 8.1 and I then upgraded to windows 10. ever since then it is painfully slow and erratic at times. I have done exactly how you describe by changing the Initial Size and Maximum Size to the Recommended File Size for both.
